Fuel Sniper helps Australian drivers find the cheapest nearby fuel. This policy explains exactly what the app does with your data. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
With your permission, the app reads your device location to show which service stations are near you. Location access is foreground-only — the app never requests or receives your location in the background. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings; the app still works, but you will need to search for a suburb manually.
Fuel price data is fetched by state, not by your coordinates. The app downloads the price list for your state and does the "what's near me" filtering on your own device, so the fuel price authorities below never receive your position.
Two features do transmit coordinates, because they cannot work otherwise:

Each of these is an independent service with its own privacy policy. Once data reaches them it is governed by their terms, not ours.
The following is written to your phone's local app storage and is never uploaded to us: your saved vehicles, preferred fuel type and brands, favourite stations, price alerts, logged fill-ups, and app settings. Deleting the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy and cannot recover it for you.
Fuel Sniper is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Prices come from government-operated reporting schemes and are indicative only. They can be stale or wrong, and they change without notice. Always check the price board at the bowser before you fill up. Fuel Sniper is not liable for pricing discrepancies.
Because we hold no personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on your behalf — clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes everything. We handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will be published at this address before the change takes effect in the app.
